Why Some People Leave the Prophetic Movement – Reason 3
Reasons Why Some People Leave the Prophetic Movement:
…Or Any Other Movement
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matt 28:19-20

I’m writing this article about a genuine move of God. There are movements which of course are not of God and I am not writing about them in this article.

Movements are awesome for the most part, but they aren’t the whole picture of the Church; the Church is much bigger than a movement. The Church lasts for eternity; a movement is to get the Church or society in closer alignment with the Kingdom of God.
Think of it like a big ship on the ocean. Waves come and go but the ship keeps moving forward with the captain at the helm; speeding up, slowing down, turning this way and that. The people aboard all at once rush to one side shifting the balance and direction of the ship; the captain quickly grabs the helm to stabilize the vessel and redirect its course with the new coordinates as the guide. This is much like the behavior of a movement.
Each movement brings quick redirection to the Church by thrusting her forward and often throwing her off balance. The job of leaders with the help of the Holy Spirit is to incorporate the new coordinates into the vision of the Church and at the same time make sure the people remain aligned with the overall vision of the Kingdom of God.
The prophetic is supposed to be a normal part of every Christian’s life along with many other things – some mentioned in the scriptures above. When a church pitches a tent on any doctrine or Biblical truth other than Jesus Christ and builds a church on it, their coordinates are directed away from due North.
A church which rejects the move of the Holy Spirit or if they make that movement their identity – Instead of Jesus Christ, is in danger of becoming irrelevant; people who are in step with the Holy Spirit will sooner or later leave such church.
Ga 5:25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
